So, after six days in a row of positive OPKs, today I finally got a negative. Experiment over. Now I know that, for me, many days in a row of positive First Response or Answer OPKs does not mean two overlapping surges.
My blog definitely contains a bit "TMI" (Too Much Information) at times. But I really wanted to be very open about my journey, and I am a very open person. (And yes, people do sometimes say “Thanks for Sharing” to me in real life :) If you don’t want to read about "womanly" issues, you probably doesn't want to venture any further into my blog! ;)
About Me
Kristen
I am 32 years old with mild cystic fibrosis. For the CFers who may be interested, my FEV1 is 110%, my genotype is dF508/R117H, and I am pancreatic sufficient. The primary way CF impacts me is chronic sinusitis and repeated bronchitis and mild pneumonia (I get sick about 3-4 times a year). My sputum cultures show pseudomonas aeruginosa(PA) and staph aureus, although I haven't cultured PA in over a year. I have only been hospitalized twice.
My husband, Greg, and I are trying to conceive our first child. I started this blog to share our journey and the information we learn along the way in case it may help other women with CF. However, I think it has helped ME in connecting with other women with CF and those struggling with IF.
Greg and I have been trying to conceive since June of 2008 and have had to seek the help of an fertility specialist. My thick cervical mucus, caused by CF, makes it difficult for us to get pregnant.
